Graf 12 Place Graf

A couple of years ago my parents took my friend and I to Bar Harbor for the weekend, and they were going to let us decide the plans that we were going to do while we were there. The only thing that they really had decided was where we were going to stay. They told us that they had already reserved a place that we were staying. A cottage. The first thing I thought of when my mother had said cottage, was a decent size place possibly a log cabin type of cottage, that resembled a little home with maybe a hot tub or something somewhere near. We were so excited to be able to spend the weekend in a place like that. We pulled into the place where we were staying, it was nothing like we had expected. There were a bunch of little cottages that could have been a third of the size of a small apartment. We got inside and it seemed much smaller. There was a small porch on the front that had two chairs on it. Once you actually walked inside, there was a kitchen, or what they would call a kitchen, it was just big enough for a small counter with a sink and stove, and a very small table. Off to the right was a bathroom, which didn't have much breathing room. If you walked straight from the kitchen there was a room right ahead and a room to the left. The room that was straight ahead had a full bed in it with dresser and tv, and the room off the left had two single beds squeezed in there with a dresser and a tv also. This place was cute, just wasn't what we had been expecting at all. We actually ended up loving the place and the things that we had decided to do that weekend.

  1. Cozy but cramped, eh? Very descriptive.

I think the last sentence could be dropped--it almost opens a new topic.
